Giftcards that you purchase at the store.

Do they really only work if their "activated" at the register?
How can they really work within ONE MINUTE of you scanning it at the register.
Personally I think it's a load of b/s.

I can't personally test it here because all of the g/c's are right by the register and they make u purchase them right there, u cant walk around with them or even stand by them. So that got me thinking, do you REALLY need to purchase it and have them scan it to "activate it"?

The under one min. theory was proven, I had my phone up in amazon, ready to purchase a part for my pc ready to purchase it for like $20, a friend of mine is the manager, so he let me scratch it off before he scanned it, i already paid for it and all, and had the number already punched in. he scanned it, within 5 seconds, I hit enter and confirmed it and all, and it WORKED. now how can their systems process it THAT FAST. I personally think it's a load of bs that you have to scan it to activate it, but who knows.

This could be like the dumbest post ever, I send an email and someone gets it in 10 seconds and you dont think they can activate a gift card that quick LMFAO keep dreaming!

Are you trying to suggest that if your in a store, you get your hands on a gift card, and take the number down you can use that number to make purchases????

with several giftcard places i know when you go in store there activated when you buy them. but if there bought somewhere else for they usually need to be activated and take a couple of days, for example if you bougth a bestbuy giftcard from a gas station they will usualy take a few days. Either way if your planning to scam the company it wont work coz you'll be caught.

And bit of a stupid comment.... its quite unbelieveable that it takes one second to activate? lmao few examples, internet?, speed of ligt?, pretty much everything these days works in under a second lol....
