GIFs in email marketing?

Are GIFs in email marketing possible? Would all the targeted audience be able to see it?

I read videos when advertising with emails is a bad idea since some browsers or mail services can't display them. What about GIFs?

I have a product to sell and I'm trying to make the most catchy email possible to convert cold audience.
I know it's not the way email marketing is supposed to be used but I wanna try something out.

Not all audiences can see that. All images formats are once blocked/disabled cannot be shown in the emails.

I use them frequently for internal list but not cold since it will trip some spam filters

GIF's are possible but make sure they are on CDN or on google cloud and image size is as low as it can be.
