A former wordpress developer started his own blogging script.
Will be available on August 2013 - I am curious, the videos look awesome, more back to roots, more down to earth again.

I wonder how this will effect the world of blog networks and seo.

If you'd read entirely you'd recognized it is not his goal to match wordpress, but it is the goal to become a slick 'n quick bloggin plattform for the masses. WP has developed itself meanwhile as CMS in my opinion.

Looks really clean and user friendly. I doubt its a competitor to wordpress but it looks like it will be a major blog system.

Hell yeah! Build in node, this is the future. As soon as it gets out I will test it.

I already learned some node, and I must to say that it's very powerful, great for apps in real time like chats, video games, any sync app...

I guess all analytics would be in real time and no page reloads at all. Can't view the video at this moment...

I probably will use this for authority sites and apps

Looks cool but the title is misleading OP. Even you said that it doesn't want to match WP. It might be a good platform for the "masses" and if it catches I can see that a lot of potential WP users going to Ghost instead, just because would be easier to create a blogging site.

Yes it will, but remember its easier to build when you've seen what works, so maybe not years

This is a promising project and I really like the design. But he'll need a lot of GFX designer (or he can do it by himself but that'll take a lot of time) to make a lot of themes.

I saw the video and yes they are focus mainly on blogging. I'd like to see this growing, but even if they dont want to compete with WP, still will take time for bloggers to make the switch.
