Getting your backlinks indexed these days

It's been harder and harder to get our links indexed, (profile links in particular) these days by Google. Pinging, bookmarking, RSSing, using clever scripts like the Bulk Indexing Tool, no matter how many times we wash, rinse, and repeat it just doesn't work anymore. Pinging alone used to work great but we can throw that out the window. It's time to come up with a more creative solution in getting our links indexed.

A typical internet marketer will say to keep building links and don't worry about the rest. Well sorry that just isn't going to cut it anymore. It's time to come up with a more creative solution to get our links indexed and not ignored by Google. Anyone have any ideas?

Ive noticed that with profile links as well. I have a list of 1000 profiles that are all still live and only 24 of them are indexed after 1 month. Ive done every trick in the book to get them indexed but no such luck.

Google doesn't want to index them because they don't have any content... try adding some unique content to the profile.

You couldn't put it better! Took the words out of my mouth. Are you a mind reader or somethin?

Try to put as many content as possible in the profiles that you create. Google don't like emptiness because emptiness provides no value to users. Use Scrapebox to create some backlinks to your profiles as well.

Thanks for the tips but I've done everything from writing my own highly spun profile bio's and even went as far as stripping content from ebooks (not listed in google) and inserting this unique content into each profile. For the most part it still won't get indexed.

If you do a Google search for your profile url, 95% of the time it won't show. Either Google is learning not to index profiles from domains used for profile backlinking or they're not paying attention to the older forms of indexing (rss, bookmark, scrapebox, pinging, etc.)

However, if we can trick Google into indexing our profiles once again, then we'll have something special.

I've noticed for older sites that already have been backlinked with profiles (from years back) will remain to rank high because the profiles are already indexed; however, NEW sites are harder and harder to rank these days.

There are many variables involved with indexing profile links since they are backlinks with a short life because:

The forum may have gone down/offline.
The profile may have been deleted.
The profile may be not visible to public.

I would wait 3-5 days after the blast then verify the profiles then work on what's validated.

Forum profiles are not the type of links that need to be backlinked anyways, They should be your outer tier of backlinks.

I would better make that mininet.

Tier 1: Web 2.0 or blog posts linking directly to money site.
Tier 2: Blog posts linking to money site / web 2.0 properties.
Tier 3: Bookmarking, forum profiles, blog comments and what not.

This structure is very safe and powerful. It gets more b.hat while you are going out of the circle.

Any suggestions on getting those web 2.0 indexed while we're on the subject of indexing?

Just because Google is not serving results for any profiles does not mean that the Googlebot hasn't found those links.

It's very likely that those kinds of links are still being discovered, but not being served in the SERPs since, as we previously mentioned, those kinds of pages have no value to searchers.

Try the techniques mentioned in this thread.


You can get more than 50% of your profile links indexed within one week. To improve the rate, I upload the rss feeds for the links on my own site, and submit these feeds to rss directories.
