Getting WP Auction Software to work

has anyone else used this plugin called wpauctionsoftware? have you gotten it to work properly on your root directory?

here is what basically happens:

When you list an auction you have to pay for it.

After paypal payment there is a link to go back to my site which takes to the thank you for paying page when its on domain.com/shop but not when its on domain.com


to clarify what i mean by root directory


/home/user/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mam_auction/cron_job.php ? doesn't work


when its on /home/user/public_html/directory/wp-content/plugins/mam_auction/cron_job.php ? it works


I created a new account via WHM. Rebuilt Apache. Tried a different hosting account. Used a clean site no other plugins ? same issue.


I can't get it to work if its not in a subdirectory.


Honestly, don't know what to try next hahaha. I tried contacting the devs but I don't think they have an answer.


It has to be some other issue.

is it available for download somewhere?

I don't think it is shared anywhere, had to purchase my copy

the one you linked is sitemile's plugin which is a credit based system.

wpauctionsoftware is different, auctions go directly to the seller's paypal.

i do know that wp has an option to set the base folder so you can run it from your top level domain. try that...
