So I'm reaching 200+ people everyday although they are not always specifically qualified. I'm testing different niches.

What better actions could someone be doing to get clients? or what could I be adding to these?
What kind of conversions are you getting with that daily action list?

Maybe you should partner with SEO or content writers (such as myself :) ) since we TARGET the SAME CUSTOMER BASE

Have you thought about creating a bst thread on bhw?

Freelancing web design is a rough and cheap business. Clients trying to cheat you, tons of competition, and lots of hustle required. I used to do it as a large part of my income stream back in the day and it was a giant headache. If you're going to do it, jump in a toe at a time is my advice.

Very similar for freelance marketing services as well.

It's a tough hustle, but still doable. Like others mentioned here, businesses get solicited for these types of services on a daily basis. Most either know someone (family/friend/network) that could do this if they really needed, or they do it on their own via wix, wordpress, shopify, and all the other cheaper options.

I'd look into all the old journey threads here regarding cold outreach to get an understanding how to approach businesses and stick out from the competition. Look into hubpot cold outreach templates, and other resources to understand how to build a script and funnel. Look into email marketing and how to stay in inbox and avoid spam - this is crucial since most people will mark you as spam if you go about it the wrong way.

The hardest part is finding qualified leads. I'd personally would find businesses that already have a website but no responsive/mobile version (usually they'll be ugly and outdated), and pitch them they're hurting their SEO rankings with this, and probably upsell SEO services as well (you could outsource this). That's just one example off the top of my head, but there's endless opportunities out there. Learn to use scrapebox or scraping in general and you can find a ton of leads to get yourself started.

One tip I would give is leads love when you offer them something first. I've seen an old thread here where the OP would rebuild a site for a potential client and send it to them already done, and had success with that angle. That's too much work for me, but the concept works. It's an old thread from years ago, but I usually put a spin on it and get far more positive responses than pitching a phone call. You'll find a ton of great info from older threads dating back 10+ years. It'll get your creative juices flowing.

Getting clients 101 :p

The Phone Strategy

Step 1: Make a website with your portfolio and present yourself as you know everything in that niche (copywriting skills)
Step 2: Open google maps and excel
Step 3: Make a phone number list with all the businesses who have bad websites or potentially need your service / product
Step 4: Call them and say that they have a problem on their website and want to talk to the manager
Step 5: Say how you can help them getting more customers to their business

The Letter Strategy
Step 1: Find a business on google maps, linkedin or facebook that potentially need something
Step 2: Open Word and write about their problems they are facing and how you can help them
Step 3: Print it out
Step 4: Send it to them. Write on the letter that this is an important letter etc. etc.

... or visit their business

I hope that helped :)

Little twist to it: call to business with shitty website (there's different methods how to find punch of old and ugly and borderline broken and malicious websites. by doing this you can find specific websites with specific errors. also slow websites) as a regular customer and ask something like this: "Hello! Are you still operational? Your website looks really old (and mention some other mistakes on website. Make them feel little shame or urgency) and doesn't work on mobile bla bla bla...so I wonder are you still operational and taking clients, because I really like your work and prices etc, but your websites looks outdates, so I just want to be sure you are still operational and legit."

Now, your future potential client knows his/her website is shit and needs updates. You can mention that outdated and slow websites are not good for business reputation and scare away site visitors instantly. It depends how good of a talker are you...you can make your CTA on your first call and mention you had same issue few months ago and after site update more clients started to come in etc etc....and then mention your web design company.

Or just wait few days or weeks and make a second call as website designer. Now your potential client is little "warmer", because someone just told them their site looks shit some time ago. Really try it, it works.

Ofc nothing can beat good SEO, portfolio and later referrals.
