Getting Video Clips from FB Groups

Newbie question and asking for feedback.

I'm a member of an FB group, for example "INSECT LOVER FB GROUP". There, members post videos and pictures of their insects.

My question is, will there be violations, penalties or copyright issues if I get those videos and upload in my YT INSECT channel? Perhaps compile them or whatever needed.

Looking forward for your thoughts on this. What are the pros and cons. Thanks

Compilation channels do this all the time and I never see them run into problems. Most people aren't going to go through the process of filling a copyright claim so the most that would happen usually is they would ask you to remove their content from the video.

The best way to avoid any problems is to contact them asking for permission to use their video and then credit them in the description. You could take it a step further and credit them in the video while their content is playing with a watermark.

Legally you are copyright infringing by using someone else’s content without their consent.

Better ask permission from them before posting. you never know if they have a youtube channel or if they have already given permission to other people, in that case they can do copyright strike to your channel.

Basically you will only get noticed when you are grown enough. But when you are grown enough you can just pay them.

You will be surprised that those videos shared by members in your FB group were not originally from them. There are a lot of stolen and edited contents online. If you know the original creator, ask for permission otherwise just go and compile and edit them for use on YouTube. Many channels do this and no problem.

If they report it, your channel will be banned. So ask them first.

just search in google "download video from facebook", there are lots of online tools. but i have to do it one by one...
