Using a VPN might help IG think you're in the US, but it can also raise flags, especially if there's a mismatch between your IP, SIM location, and account history. It’s a bit risky. Better to focus on U.S.-style content, trending sounds, hashtags, and engagement with U.S. accounts. That usually helps the algorithm push your content to the right audience over time.

Get a mobile proxy (4G/5G) with a US-location (gives you the right IP-location and no risk of flags), create posts with location tags in the US, and engage with US-accounts for some time.

None of all above have a right answer, one guy on my thread(same as yours) sent an answer - US users must start to interact with you reels (like/repost/comment/follow), it doesn't even really matter what IP do you use, it doesn't work in a way Tik Tok works

If you only plan to use IG casually sure, a high quality VPNs would work for that. If you want to get monetised or get some serious work done using your account, then you're going to want to avoid VPNs and just stick to mobile or residential proxies (ideal for social media sites in general). Virtually every VPN IP is known to be coming from a VPN so that changes a lot about how a platform engages with your content. While residential US IPs could help push your content to the right audience, it's still vital you get engagements from that audience so it's also just part of the equation.

If you engage with US users, and post images of US objects (example, Mustang Muscle Cars). You will target the US. There are more factors but this is something you can use and intergrade.

Don't use VPN's whatever you do. Residential proxies or 4G is what you need
