I have recently been blocked / banned from registering on a website. Now, let's not get into the details of why but I am trying to re-register and I can't because they appear to have out smarted me.

I was under the impression that creating a new account with a different IP and email address would solve the problem but this appears not the case.

Initially when I changed my IP address and email address, but they were able to detect me [somehow]. So I changed my browser, IP address again using a different ISP, and email address from a different provider. Yet they still detected me :/

How the hell are they doing this?

Did you try this from the same device?

Well this is where it gets even more complex. I tried joining from my mobile device too (over 4G) which is also banned. They have somehow linked the two devices together, presumably because they were both used together. But it's like they can see some unique hardware information, MAC address or something like that?

I am at a total loss what & how they are doing this.

is it CL? look at https://panopticlick.eff.org/ for to see your software footprint.
do you get banned immediately after signing up or after a while? it could mean the difference between an automated system catching you or a diligent admin.
try using a vpn? inside a virtual machine? usually those two things in conjunction dodge bans well.

Cleared ALL your cookies have you?

I think its facebook login that caused it.Same facebook cookies on both pC and mobile

could behave and stop getting banned - but thats just me.

Well said. I was just coming to say they same thing. You don't register at a website and start acting the dick. I bet you were picking on other members.

there are also LSO cookies you need to clear with additional tools. the world of clearing footprints is pretty big you will have a lot to learn but it's all documented online.
