Can someone please explain in a 1-2-3 matter how to get traffic with digg. Some of the things it would be nice to hear about are:

1.posting to digg and getting google traffic because your digg posts tend to rank well in google for medium competition/low competition keywords (best practices in posting i.e. tags, title, etc)

    2. digg shouts and digg friends

    3. etc etc.

looking forward to what the experts have to say?

I know about the front page. but I'm trying to figure out how people get traffic with friends, shouts. also how do people use digg for seo? as I said, I know the digg posts can do well in google. do people try to digg a story then get people to click through from the digg post in google to their website? also, would backlinking a digg story to get it to no.1 fast help - in google that is? in other words I've done a blog post that may have landed on page 50 of google but the dugg story got to page 2....also, what about direct linking from a digg post to offers - any thoughts?!

Easy way to lower your ebay epc with digg is post your affiliate url in the comments on a auction story. People almost post funny/interesting ebay auctions on digg but it points to their blog (might be something worth trying later).

What you do is find the auction being discussed:

    1. Make your own affiliate link to that auction.
    2. Post your url in the comments and say it is a "Direct link" to the auction.

You will get many thanks and quite a few clicks.
I did this on the Aussie selling his life that was all in the news a bit ago, I got 300+ clicks.
I did make $6 but what I learned was far more valuable.

    Good luck.

    okay some things about digg...

    using digg for seo:
    • there are people who use this technic.. and it works for buzz keywords..
any news about a new porn vid with paris... then try this..
    • it is also good for serp domination.. if use wanna sell an ebook for exemple and don't want negativ reviews on the first page..
    • BUT using digg for seo is a different thing..
its just about the backlinks you get from all those other blogs.

    digg traffic:
    • digg traffic is complained to be useless for ppc... thats true
    • when you use digg for seo, the traffic is more an annoying factor.. because you can't monetize it.. if you do, you wont get any backlinks..
    • you said you know about the front page. there are a some ways to hit the frontpage very easy. but if your story is not what real digg-users would digg you wont get too many clicks.
      (and no backlinks at all)

I hate those sites, they tend to steal my ranking on google, they will eventually rank better with MY keywords the more I add stuff on them. :S
