Getting traffic to my blog

Hey friends,
I have been blogging for a while now but I must say that my greatest challenge is how to get traffic to the blog. I mean both direct and organic.
I set up my blog, submit to Google and all the primary things to do. I employed someone to write content for me but no tangible traffic.

My questions what's the trick you guys are using. I once read about so.eone that get huge traffic in less 3minths of blogging.

I need someone to volunteer to be my mentor. Teaching how to blog to profit.

Let it age, it can take some time before you start seeing good traffic. Have other sources of income till then.

How old is your blog,how many posts do you have on it?

More than 1year and its entertainment and news blog.... so I have more posts......

I'm totally new in blogging but I have a few sites. I buy low competition long tailored keywords, and I pay someone to write one article of about 1000 words per article. I might not get any traffic the first days but after some weeks and months I see it's been some traffic.

This is the one I outsource the work on


And this is a site I have in my native language.


I'm still learning everyday and bought a new domain last week and are in the process of setting it up now, the content on the new domain will be translated from the one of the other domains that are in english but in the same niche, just the language is different

The first picture, the site have 14 posts. More to come soon!

The second picture, 163 posts, where all are in my native language.

Just took a look at your blog and I can see it's around gist/entertainments. This type of content doesn't perform well with SEO and the best way to generate trafffic is through social media. So you should focus on social media to drive traffic.

I understand where you're coming from.

A lot of people who just got started blogging ask the same questions.

I know I did when I started blogging seriously more than 15 years ago.

I dabbled in blogging when blogger.com first launched.

I didn't really get serious around 15 years ago.

And let me tell you, three months of blogging is too short to figure out whether your blog is succeeding or not.

Focus instead on making sure that your blog has at least 100 to 150 pieces of content.

And I'm not talking about short pieces of content that you can easily whip up and throw away.

I'm talking about stuff that tracks the length of your competitors and delivers more value than their offerings.

If you're not doing any of these, then you're playing the game to lose.

I understand that you want quicker results.

And believe me, everybody does.

But blogging is a long term game.

You need to get as much as many pieces of content up there as possible, but they have to be the right pieces of content.

And I would suggest that you divide your content strategy into two parts.

The first part is what you do initially.

This involves targeting lower difficulty keywords.

Deliver on the search intent behind these keywords so you can rank these sooner rather than later.

Once you start getting decent rankings for a lot of your longtail less competitive keywords, you can then start on the second part of the strategy which is to target more competitive keywords.

Also, you need to interlink aggressively.

Now, make sure you use calls-to-actions that are just keyword anchors so as to drive a lot of internal traffic.

If you do this right, you will be able to build one blog after a few months and then build another blog.

And by the time you get around to your first blog, you build several bugs and then you can then start monetizing.

That's another common mistake people make.

They slap on their AdSense code from day one.

Don't do that.

Focus first on building a comprehensive site, then building another site, and once your first blog is starting to generate traffic, start on monetization.

Creating ideal content, and using social media to promote your content would result in some amount of traffic

Search for the right keywords and give the whole process time..

Publish high quality articles. Target long tail keywords which are easy to rank and drive more traffic to your site. Do proper internal linking. At start you can use social medias to promote your articles. Add some links to the homepage and the inner pages of your site.

Need to add more informative/fresh content every day in your blog section and share it on your social media pages and wait for the result.

You will have to build links to your blog, then it will start ranking on Google and you will get traffic.

I am in the situation as you. Infact this a year now, I have good quality content on my blog but no traffic. This is the greatest challenge of we new bloggers.
The solution is time. Keep working and keep building authority for your blog. You will see change before you know. I am even sure your own is far better than mine. My blog is Wallacewalley and in the last 7 days, I had only 11 visitors. I can't kill myself. Time heals every wound.

Get going with links , without links it would not happen , google checks every aspect so build quality links content is king but many factors matter mate .

A fast way to grow your blog is to build social media pages along with it and drive traffic to your website.
