getting traffic to blog?

not sure if this is the right spot but I do have a blog that im mainly looking to earn residual income from, im not asking for 500 a month but 100 or so would be amazing, now Im not sure how to get traffic to it seeing as it is completely free and has about 100 posts on it from an auto blogger, what are some things I can do to increase my traffic? so far I have only earned 12 dollars from it from putting ads on craigslist, I have started doing this again but would like more tips

way to get traffic depends on what kind of site have you

I am also interested on how to get traffic, for new site's it is hard to start ranking because we can't blast our domain with SB, etc...
Youtube is used too much & isn't that effective,
Twitter & other social networks are all full with spammers trying to do what you are doing...

Smart guys won't tell their techniques... problem is... for the starters it gets harder & harder

If your blog is genuine, the best way i found to get traffic, is to write article according to the visitors needs you find on forums or social network.

As soon as i'd noticed a question that would be able to be popular and easy to rank for. I use to write a tuto about it, or publish a free ebook (for dummies for exemple)

Then, i come back to the place and say look what i've found !! You can ask in a comment to the author of this blog, if you don't find your answer. Then i dropped the link anywhere i found the same question, or topic related

1 year later, i still have hundreds of visitors using the very same links

Regarding the monetize action, i've tried adsense several time and i was doing fine (20€ / day) but they banned me each time i asked for payment for illegal content. Seems that they dislike the "how to hack google with some queries" article .... So, now it works with donation with SMS. I won 50 bucks over month with it...

it is a free blogger blog though

its a weight loss site and 85% of the posts are done by autoblog so it does prolly have crappy content and is linked to a lot of amazon stuff and click bank, but it does have some normal posts

and whoever pm'd me I will reply as soon as I can, i do not have enough posts right now

and so far ive been doing 2-3 posts and getting 3 or 4 views... hm not really workin anymore I guess.

I now have a make money online blog, it has like 60 good posts, ive done my meta tag, used fiver for some backlink services and a scrapebox blast, and also bought some traffic from a user on here, im getting like 400 hits a day now but im sure they are just from the paid traffic, and im not seeing any clicks but im getting like 1 cent a day what else can I do?

Post a URL and I would get back to you after an analysis. Keep linking to related sites and make sure that some of the links are ********. That would really help.

It depends on your goal. Mine is mostly for information. If you build a large social network, twitter, facebook, google+, then use things like scribd, link to your site, ezarticles, etc. tease them into going to your site. That is my strategy for traffic. Then let them just come by themselves. Eventually I suppose?

it really helps to do a ton of guest blog posts on related blogs and to build up a network of contacts that way
