Getting traffic help

So I have a wordpress site that I opened on January 2nd that's not monetized in any way. This is my first site I've ever built and I had no idea about seo or anything when I bought the domain name and now I'm trying to figure out what I can do to get traffic...

I don't write articles on it but I have people submit their advice and I post it up for everyone to see. I don't really know how to go about finding something related to build backlinks for it lol

Also my page rank is 0, does this mean that google doesn't know my site is there?

So what's my next step?

Hi mate, you need to consider a few steps;

1] keyword research (look for low competition keywords for easy rank)
2] EMD domain registration
3] articles (at least five to start with)
4] SEO (backlinks, web 2, social bookmarks, dir, profile links etc)
5] conversion

Yeah google seems to be the enemy at this point lol...

on-site seo is fine, working on off-site now.
