Getting traffic from FB?

Just a quick question guys!

I'm researching into Facebook Marketing and would like to know whether you're seeing success? When I say success, I'm more relating to getting targeted hits rather than anything!

As I'm new to Facebook, I would really like your opinion on whether Facebook seems to be holding up on getting you traffic from your accounts - all my efforts go to paid advertising and tedious SEO - and I want to push things further. After reading a few posts about they're going through an update or something, I don't really know what's "too much" or whether I should lay low for a bit!

Would you say adding 20 friends per day to 10 accounts was too much? After about a month or so, I would probably take it easy with the spamming... in fact, I'd rather call it "informing" rather than "spamming" But the accounts will be used simply to get traffic, nothing blackhat.

I'm still researching, so I appreciate all the advice guys!

Thanks for the response. I know getting traffic from Facebook is Blackhat, well actually it's more greyhat than anything, but I was more referring to my money-making method isn't Blackhat - it's 100% squeeky clean, decreasing any risk of potential flagging if there is such function lol!?

Does anyone know whether I should continue with my efforts on FB at the moment? I've read they have done an update that has banned a lot of people - so I don't want to fall victim when I'm just starting out!

Also, just wanted to get your opinion, would 10 accounts with 2000 targeted friends each be enough, or should I push things further over a longer period of time?

It just depends on what you are doing. You might need to give more details to get an educated response.

From what I have found on is that right now facebook is cracking down hard. Add 10 ppl a day on your accounts and stay under the radar. use proxys for fb acc that are assigned. so that means always use the same proxy for the same fb

I tried it and actually got some conversions. I like it.

FB developed numerous tools with their open graph api that are for white hat external sites, i have numerous whitehat sites that write to peoples newsfeed by various ways...using the api code FB provided.

I get quite a bit of traffic from Facebook to my autoblogs, as the Onlywire plug-in automatically posts every post to my wall.

Yesterday had about 55 uniques spread out across 4 blogs from FB alone.

And I only joined two weeks ago and already have almost 350 friends. Not using any adder software or anything, just manually sending out 25-35 requests a day to people in internet marketing search and hooked up with all of my high school and college buddies.

I need to find a few good tutorials and I think I could really use Facebook to complement my income. I have Facebook Marketing Extreme and that taught me how to set up an opt-in on my fan page, and I've got a few opt-ins from it already.

If anyone can recommend a really good Facebook video course or ebook I'd appreciate it.
