Getting Traffic for a new forum

first try to fill your forum with things so people will stick around... make thread where you throw new link with megaupload or something and the file contains nude images etc... It will work as a "hook" so people come to see if you have uploaded new images.
This will also increase possibility of new topics to appear and your forum will come alive naturally, rest is SEO...

I haven't went into the forum market but maybe one day I will start an MMA forum or something and this is what I would do. Like I said this is untested
Step 1
Have forum completely set up and ready to go of coarse.
Step 2
Start your own threads but do it smartly. Do keyword research about different porn topics such as names of pornstars for example heres a freebie for you
Jenna Haze Videos gets about 1,600 exact local and about 3,600 exact global searches. The first place competition has a PR of 2 and only about 50 backlinks so it should be relatively easy to outrank.
Give the post a catchy title one that will let the searcher know they will be finding videos not just a discussion about Jenna Haze videos or they will most likely just skip yours and go to the number 2 site.
Post something like "These are my favorite Jenna Haze Videos post your favorites here" make sure your keyword "Jenna Haze videos" is in the title. Then blast the page with scrapebox/xrummer. If you get number one (should be easy) that will be roughly 2,000 visitors a month to that one page. Make sure people have to register to post.
Imagine if you have 300 similar Thread topics with 2,000 visitors a month coming to it and some signing up and some at least searching though other posts. That's 20,000 NEW visitors a day now imagine if 1 out of every 500 visitors signed up that would be 1200 new members a month you could have 15-20k regulars on your forum in a years time plus all the new visitors plus all the new Threads you start and blast with SB.
Step 3
Nobody is going to stick around and they def are not going to join if you don't have any members.
To get members this is what I would do (expect to fork out some $ for this) Go to a popular porn forum, one that you would want to strive to be eventually, post a sig link that says something like "Make money just by discussing porn" I'd think of something similar but better than that.
(this step can be done for free by making each account and posting yourself as different people but will take a hell of a lot more time)
Then build a cheap free website or blog for it to link to or if you don't want them to do that just tell them to PM you for details. Then tell them you will give them $10 or so for their first 250 posts. Tell them that they can trust you but remind them they have nothing to lose because they would already be discussing porn they might as well get paid for it.
Tell them to discuss on posts already made as well as ad their own. Then tell them once they have 250 post PM you on your new forum (this will prove that it is them and not just somebody that is trying to get their money) Once you get their PM check to make sure they have made at least 250 posts pay them and invite them to stay on the forum. Be honest with the people posting, tell them it's a new forum and in order to get people to sign up you need to populate the forum with posts. Being honest will make it clear as to why you would pay them and they would be more likely to do it.

Make your forum intresting with what people would like. Make some adult vedios linking your site watermarked and upload to some big torrent sites like TPB, torrentz etc. Its the best way to get more traffic. May be a bit of work but initally you need to work out if you want traffic flowing in the future.
post your link in other forms is one of the best ways i have been doing that for quit some time now I have a friend who desings websites and he always wants me to help him advertise his site and get people to come to his site and thats one of the best ways to do it. good luck!
