Hello, I've been inspired to start my own eBay dropshipping business. After looking around I've had a few questions still, which is why I came to help, I am already fairly far into the setup.

Here's what I've done:
1.) I have an old eBay account from 1999, so selling limit and 200 positive feedback
2.) I have already found 200 items to list, my method is I find an amazon dropshipper with higher margins and go to their sold listings, then list those items myself at a lower margin.
3.) I have found out what programs I will use (I think)- Hydra lister and skugrid. Also buying an eBay store. If I plan to have those programs support 1000 listings, it will cost me $200/month.
4.) I custom made my own template, it looks very professional.

Here's my plan:
1. Find 300 more items so I have 500, using my method mentioned above
2. Purchase my programs/shop. Sign up for prime trial
3. Use hydra lister to list the items. I have a 1-day dispatch and 2 day shipping. 30 day returns.
4. Skugrid will reprice my items every 5 hours
5. After I get a sale, I will find the item of amazon and ship to the customer. Amazon will give my the tracking number immediately and I will enter the info into eBay
6. Renew the prime trial once I get banned or the trial ends- whichever comes first
7. Eventually add more items until I am at 1000

If 1% of my items sell every day, I start getting 5 sales per day. Most of my margins at $5, so I should have no problem breaking even, and I should make some big bucks once I scale up.

Here's what I am unsure of:

1. Amazon prime situation. I know it is against the TOS to use 2 day shipping to dropship. So once my trial ends or it gets shut down, is it easy to renew the trial? Do I simply use new info and same card to sign up? Or do I need to mess with ip address, etc.
2. My method of finding profitable items. I simply find other dropshippers on eBay with higher margins and go to their sold items and take those items to sell as my own. I haven't found much on how to find items, so I just made up this method. I'm wondering if there's a better way.
3. PayPal. I added a new paypal the my eBay account (previously my parents' were linked.) I know PayPal will hold the money for some time. I have about 1500 of my own money to use before they release the funds. I am unsure of the specific details about PayPal holds and when they can release the funds. If buyer leaves feedback do I get the funds immediately?
4. This isn't much of a concern right now, but I would like to figure all the details about discounted amazon gift cars/cash back credit cards to allow me pocket more or reduce the prices on eBay. I saw that amazon offers a 5% cash back card but I haven't heard of my drop shippers every using this card.
5. Time. I know there's the upfront time I need to put in to get everything running, maybe .5-2 hours per account, so 50-200 hours total? After that, I'm not sure how much time it will take to maintain it. If I'm not mistaken, All I have to do is find more images/videos to restock into the upload queue, so maybe 5 hours a month?

If someone could help me out of some of my loose ends or point me to the right direction or let me know if my plan is flawed that would help me so much. You can also contact me on skype or PM me. :D

Good strategy billrich31.

Update (nearly 4 years later)

I ran my eBay dropshipping business for about 2 years and totaled 650k of revenue.

For anyone curious, I'm now 20 years old and I've grown, own and operate several large meme pages on Instagram Totaling over 10 Million followers. Ad sales along with a few more sources of revenue stemming from those accounts is generating $20,000-$50,000 a month in revenue. Recently dropped out of college to pursue entrepreneurship full time. Thanks to the few people on BHW who gave me the idea to start my first online business my freshman year of high school.

I'll give another update in a couple years
