Just leave them OP, It's not going to hurt you but rather than help you gain more followers when you're liking/following/commenting

Ghost followers are followers who doesn't like or comment on your images. Usually their accounts have 1 image containing a sexy woman with instagram notification icons.

It really depends. With my old Instagram, I had ~20k followers and I would get on average 500-800 likes and up to 1.5k likes (i ditched the acct for a long time and came back with a different theme).
It didn't help my account at all, in fact I didn't gain near as many followers as my other account that had 4k active followers.
But OP, the only thing I've heard of is IGExocist which for whatever reason, doesnt even work at all for me. Its slow too.
