Getting posts indexed?

I have 3600 event posts and Google has indexed 3100 of them but not the most recent events, can I just submit them to an indexing service to get indexed or is Google going to penalise me for that?

I have tried resubmitting sitemaps etc and requesting recrawl of site but that only took it from 3000 to 3100.

forgot to say that the event posts are 1+ month old, so I have given it time for natural indexing
 
If they aren't indexed after a month, then there's a reason they are not indexed. Even if you try to force index them, it doesn't mean it will work. Plus, it leaves quite a footprint imo.
 
I know that google will only allow so much time for crawling a site, is 3000+ posts too many or should I try to eek out another couple of milliseconds?
 
Well you can try other methods to get that indexed. For instance, submitting to instant link indexing services, which used to be able to index links in 24 hours. Or if you have GSA's indexer, you can use that as well - use the comprehensive mode which submits your link to all available services, and based on my previous experience, it does gets the link indexed 24 hours or so. If it still doesn't gets indexed, then there may be something wrong with your site's settings, duplicate content, etc.
 
Thanks. I do not want to leave a footprint but sometimes I wonder if I worry too much about that vs actually creating something which would raise a flag that google would take action on.

I know it is gaming the system to submit them to indexing services which google do not like but in the grand scale of breaches, it surely is not a biggy. Or maybe it is.

Think I will try and shave a few more milliseconds off load time today, give it another week, if no improvements, submit in batches of 20-50.

How much link building have you been doing? Google needs a reason to index those pages and the number one thing that Google looks at are incoming links.

As your site gets larger you need to make sure that you are building links to all your new pages or the percentage of pages with valid links is going to keep dropping which to Google makes those pages look unimportant with no reason to index or rank them. Every time you build a new page or post you need to back link it and those "indexing" sites do not count.
 
You can try using IndexInject with 2captcha to use Google URL Submit feature
 
Try to create 2 feed pages for your rest links. and bump it with some authority blog comments, .edu .gov links, and profile links.

It will give attention to google about your links. I will pm you the sample feed pages.

I will answer about the goal I understood: "My recent posts aren't indexing"
  • Make an aggregated page to send internal link to recent posts only let's call it /hottest-posts
  • Build links to /hottest-posts
  • Make some social buzz around /hottest-posts
  • Fetch-as-google /hottest-posts
It should work. Remember that as you invest more and more time in this aggregated page - every internal outbound link you sending is getting more juice - hence getting it indexed faster.
