Getting Pagerank to web 2.0's?

Ive read a few articles on the net now, and people keep saying its easy to get pagerank to web 2.0s, maybe easier than other links, but i can't even seem to get a pr 1 web 2.0.

Whats the easiest way to gain pr to web 2.0's, i know i need links, but do you guys just spam blogs etc?

Updated Content? one of my tumblrs unexpectedly ranked #2 for a 20k keyword and all I did was queue enough pictures for 2 months..1 month later is was up there.

I'd assume send all kinds of backlinks to it. Some high PR, some comment backlinks, another tier of web 2.0 link.. etc.

Use only high PR blog comments and forum profiles to increase the PR of your web 2.0s, its my guarantee PR must increase, but ranking isn't....

If Matt Cutts already say PR is not important factor in ranking, why people still worry so much about it?

Unique content ( minimum 5 articles per web 2.0)
Blog Comments on actual page Rank pages
Wiki blast and profile links blast

It should do the trick..

dont forget about the Trackback Blast on your Web 2.0 properties, it will boost your PR.
you only need to sort out your anchors for the Trackback and rememmber to throw some 30%-40% generic anchors every once in a week.

you don't necessarily need unique content to get PR. If you only update a blogspot blog with copied content each day, for a month and only make a few social bookmarks, you already have PR1.

Page Rank is based on incoming links alone and doesn't have anything to do with the quality of content on the website. Acquiring links from different authority domains with great amount of PR can increase a site's PageRank.

No. He said that it wasn't the only important ranking factor... never did he say that it wasn't important. He wants people to focus less on page rank sculpting, and more on creating quality backlinks, and good content. You need to remember that it's still important. It identifies what sites are trusted by Google, and how reputable a page/domain is.

No. Page Rank flows through internal, and external links. You're a JR. VIP and you don't know this?
