I have been analysing what happened after a launch jacking experiment I have just finished, I ended up ranking number 7 for 2 of my main keywords.

Now that it's finished I have been analysing what happened using long tail pro etc and it seems the biggest thing that stopped me ranking what site age. My site citation and trust flow was very good compared to all results that ranked above me for the URL however I had nothing for trust and citation flow for the domain plus no domain age since it was a churn and burn site that I bought and ranked only a few weeks prior to product launch - The domains that out ranked me were not even that aged, less than a year in some cases.

Does anyone have any advice on how to outrank aged domains?

A simple way to outrank any URL is, build more backlinks than that URL.

Check their link profile with aherfs or any tools then build better links than them.

I managed to outrank aged domains by the links even with bullshit content on it.

My site is only a few months old because it is a churn and burn site as is usually the case for Launch jacking.

According to Long Tail Pro I have far more backlinks than the other sites, the only thing they seem to have that I dont is aged domains and therefore domain authority.

Do you think it is possible to just copy their backlinks and get better ones by using tools regardless of domain age and authority?

Better links mean the quality, not quantity. You can add PBN or guest post into your list in this case.

Trust me DA means nothing. Just ignore it and focus more on quality links.

Yes it is possible as long as the links can be replicated.
