Getting Out of SandBox

Just to share an experience I did to try to get my website out of the GG hell.

Two months ago my website was sandboxed after an aggressive campaign to build links to improve my rankings, my target are three sets of keywords and each has over a 3M searches monthly, exact match.

So, what I did:

(1)- I asked here before if i should keeping the building links or stop, I decided to increase and not to ping the low PR pages, PR4 and up I will ping, the rest let google find them;

(2) - I changed my .htaccess to http://mysite.com from http://www.mysite.com (301 redirect), and every backlink is http://www. and i will keep that way for now;

(3) - I opened a google webmaster account and got my website verified, choose a country target, fixed duplicate title, descriptions, etc.

(4) - Added more 20% pages with auto content (it refreshes all the content each every 48 hours). Fresh food for spiders :chef2:;

(5) - Got a phone number to get my website in the local listings.


Guess what, my website is out the sandbox, got those sitelinks on the serps and my website is running between #4 and #9 for all those keywords.

My competitor #3 has 4K backlinks mostly from four websites and the #2 over 12K baclinks.

I'm now at 1,5K. I am getting around 60 to 150 links a day (minimum PR2). Hopefully by January I'll take the #3 and by July, 2010 the #2. (first spot is the company which hold the product itself, 55K backlinks).

Money $$$ --> After this new ranking i'm getting between 35 and 60 leads in the last three days.

I wonder if the fact of having or not having a Google Webmaster Tools account linked to the website affects the rankings ?

I don't think it will help much, but looks it help me to get my website out from SandBox.

That's why I did all the above.

Those changes have not much to do with rankings, I got so many high PR links pointing to my site fast, and I think that made big G to pull the trigger on my site.

So, coincidence or not two days after the changes my site came out ranking higher, I don't know if it will last or not.

Sorry, didn't get your point. Also, don't remember one word about Yahoo on my post. Are You understanding what I'm talking about??

I think it will help, it is a bit of effort for spammers to create new google accounts, new phone numbers etc on a large scale for hundreds of sites.

You took all the right steps there just cut back on the more spammy links - social networking etc. try to get links from relevant sites - will be worth more in googles eyes and speed up your ranking.

Keep building links. Any link will help you (provided it's ********). Higher PR = better.

I have several sites loaded with spam links. Not a single relevant or genuine link in the profile. They spend 3 months in the box, and now they are ruling the serps.

Start as many new projects as you can and get cracking.

Yep, I have more three sites for the same keywords, hosted on different IP adresses and companies (privacy included). Working on them right now. Not impressive ranking yet 'cause I slowed down after the first went in the sandbox.

I want to rule on the first page for my keywords. Also, They are white hat sites, so i expecting to last forever on the top.

for me the problem is getting good backlinks for my sites..
