Getting on the most viewed daily

So is the overall key to getting your video viral and making some money getting in into those 5 pages of most viewed in different categories? (Such as views, ratings, etc.) Do most of you push it past page 5 or hope it will cruise on its own? Also how long does it take for them to update that page, for example in the howto category the last video on page 5 has 500 views, I have over 1000 and not on it yet

Yeah i have over 4000 views on the pets page, yet on page 5 last one is 500 views. Yet it is still not on it. I think it has to do with no comments/ratings/favourites as well.

yeh u need ratings, favourites and cooments to..not just views

it used to be easy before - you only need views and walah youre in the homepage

now you need at least *30 ratings, *10-20 comments and *13-18K views within 24 hours for you to reach page 5 of the most viewed today

oh and btw, youtube also disabled getting views from iframes - getting harder and harder, but I love the challenge!
