I've been living recklessly for some time. Few months ago i had a realization that i am getting old which will make me lose the drive i have as i get older.

Some medication i take had some part in making me realize this. It has given me a sense of urgency to be successful as fast as possible. I've been working constantly everyday since then. And i am on the correct path.

Although I have made insane progress in what i do, i do miss the joyful careless person that i was. I want to go back to that person. But part of me really struggle to accept getting old.

People who are older than 40, how was your transition? What made you accept getting old?

Getting Old is inevitable. Death is more so. What have you done to resolve the situation? Are you infact alive?

I will be back when the time is right… Like that kid who waited until he was 14 to reply to a YouTube comment.

Jokes aside... you sound like you’ve lived a life similar to Mark Manson.

You should check out some of his podcasts.. you’d probably relate a lot and maybe even get a new perspective on these feels!

All I can say right now is...
Grow old with grace ! :)

I’m not over 40 yet, but I will be soon!

The only thing I’ve learned so far is that life has no final destination—it's just a journey. Live in a way that, when your time comes, the only thing you wish to say to yourself is: What a ride it was!

Nothing else matters!

Birth - aging - sickness - death! That is the law of life that we cannot avoid. We need to accept reality and live happily every day even though we have to take medicine. Be optimistic and think that you are only 20+ years old. The most important thing is the age of the soul, if you are optimistic, you will naturally be young and healthy.

you should look into anti aging protocol, check bryan johnson.

Just yesterday I was 17 years old and in the blink of an eye I became 26. I didn't understand anything, time flies so fast.

When people are 20 their body and mind can handle quite a bit more abuse than older folks. When you are in your 40s and trying to live like a young adult, you are doing more damage to your body faster than you would have 20 years ago. If you start working hard now but continue to punish yourself with drugs, heavy alcohol abuse, or late nights you won’t have a body left to enjoy the fruits of your labor, most likely. Because your chances of dying early are skyrocketing due to you abusing your body.

Take it easy.

The transition to accepting aging often comes with embracing the wisdom and experiences gained, realizing that growth can coexist with joy, and finding balance between ambition and self-compassion.

Just remember that no matter what age you are you would give anything to be this age again in 20 years time

I understand, time flies so quickly! I think the 40s are a great period to find balance. Give yourself some time; you can rediscover that old joy!

I'm over here just learning from what you old farts are raging about
