Getting new Amazon account with EIN

I have a SSN linked to my old Amazon account. I would like to get a new Amazon account using an EIN that I registered from IRS.gov as a sole propietor.

However, the EIN that I registered for uses my first and last name and my old Amazon account (the one using the SSN number) is registered under the first/last names.


If I use my EIN number on the Amazon account, will Amazon be able to link my new account with the old one and ban me?

If the name and address are the same then they cross check and will close the account if your other wan was banned. If you other account is still active give them a call and tell them that you are now doing business under a company name and to merge the accounts.

if the other one has been shut down then you have a great chance this one will be to. Simple fix get a magic jack number and get a virtual office so you can use that address. you will be out about 60 bucks a month.

If/when I apply for the Amazon acct, I'll use a different name (like maybe my middle name as my first, etc) and a different address, phone number (relative's).

My concern is that they will look up the EIN and see that when I registered for it, I used my real name (otherwise the IRS will not assign the EIN).

Has anyone been able to get 2 accounts from a company such as Amazon or Ebay using their SSN and EIN w/all other info being different? And not get banned? Seems that it's not possible with the SSN and EIN being linked to each other. In hindsight when I registered for the first Amazon acct, I should have used a variation of my name or fake name. I may go the LLC/DBA route.
