Getting my backlinks indexed?

Hi, I recently run into a fair few tumblr blogs that are PR 2 - 3 and I want to write unique, 500 word articles on each with anchor to my money site. if it okay to just have one good quality article on each and then get it tweeted ~20 times or so and leave it? Or is there another way I should be getting the blogs indexed?
