im working with a couple artists and i wondered what tactics are good to get views and help get their content out there?

Start slowly with promoting songs on Social networks like, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, create a Youtube channel, start with free/or paid (recommended but not necessary) website.
Use music forums, etc.

After 3 to 6 months see where all this can go.

If you see "spikes", you go on plan B (bigger plan).
