So I've got a programming blog that I run and I post about once a day on weekdays. The traffic to this site is rather low compared to the other money affiliate sites that I run. Now, I understand that the two niches have different sizes of crowds and that programming is a highly competitive space to work in but I should be getting higher numbers on my blog. I've got a youtube channel connected to the blog that has about 100 subs (I get about ~20 every time I release a video) and the views on the videos can range from 1000 to 1500 (i started this channel 2 weeks ago).
Is there some specific way that I should be approaching my content to try to drive more of the youtube traffic towards my blog? Should I be constantly plugging my blog in the youtube channel or is there so other way I should be going about doing this?
Any tips i would appreciate even if they are just general tips for driving traffic. Im relatively new to the whole internet marketing thing. (my older site is maybe 2 months old.). I am aware that it is a long game, but when I am putting 5 articles up a week on a site and only seeing double-digit traffic vs a site i haven't updated in weeks which is seeing 100s I'm not sure what's going on.
