Getting knocked off the Featured snippet

Has anyone woken up one morning to find out that they had been knocked off their high traffic featured snippet.

how did you feel, did you rage and try to refresh your content to try and get one back?
Or did you just give no F’s and let bygones be bygones.

Btw what’s the best strategy / fastest way to reclaim the lost featured snippet in your opinion?

I had one site pretty much mimick my featured snippet answer but put a few words in bold and that was enough to knock me off a 1000 traffic per month spot.

My sites a DR 1 so it was to be expected. In full disclosure I was on tilt for about 10 mins when I found out.

1) use schema pro add faq, 2) add some backlinks try again get used seo life sometimes you’re up, sometimes you’re down
