Supposing I'm fairly new and still learning the ropes/ (obviously I won't be telling them that when I apply), how tolerant are CPA networks of low lead generation before I'm booted off? Would it be days, weeks or months of no leads before I'm kicked?

I'm guessing t..here's a learning curve and I'd be getting low traffic/sending few leads while I learn through trial and error... are certain CPA networks more tolerant of this than others?

i havent ever experienced getting my cpa account closed due to low/insufficient leads.
i have some accounts from 1 to 2 years, where i havent sent any traffic and they are still alive.
there is nothing like minimum lead amount you need to send each month.
just relax and learn.

CJ closed two inactive accounts of mine.. some other networks send e-mails with "what's up" or something if you are not making money with them in the first weeks..

I have cpa networks that I made money with early last year and then stopped using, they are still active :) so fear not, you wont get them closed down for that reason.

I opened 3 accounts last May, so 1 year ago. CJ closed my account after 6 months - that's their rule I guess. My Neverblue and CXdigital accounts are still active although I didn't send them any traffic at all :) just was concentrated on another field :)

lol i only have 1 account and not making any thing
still learning from this forum !

For me, CJ has been the only one closing my account due to low or no activity

Yeah, you won't have to worry about it. The only reason why CPA companies are so cut-throat about letting people join is to protect their advertisers.

Unless you're CJ that is.

You are receiving this email because your Commission Junction publisher account has not generated any valid commissions during the last five months. Commission Junction is committed to maintaining a dynamic and productive marketplace. Consequently, per the Publisher Service Agreement, we regularly deactivate accounts that are not actively earning commissions and do not have a sufficient balance amount. Your account has been deemed inactive and is scheduled for deactivation in 30 days for dormancy to begin the dormancy process within 30 days. Any balance held in this account will begin accruing a monthly dormant account fee. Once the account has reached a zero balance, the account will be deactivated. Please note that while your account is deactivated, you will not track or earn commissions and your advertiser relationships may expire.

yea CJ is just really anal about everything

if i have sent traffic to them in the past, they typically stay active. If i signed up for a cpanetwork and never sent traffic at all, i have had a few that were closed down.

making my own network was just a better idea overall, hopefully i dont boot myself

i think its stupid that users get kicked from cpa network for bad or poor leads...
If you think about it, its not really our fault.... Like for instance, i use to advertise a money making offer which claimed it was free on the banner...

here is the problem, you are advertising it for free,
the pixel fires after user submitted their zip or email..
the user becomes discourage once they see there is a fee and close the window which results in a poor or bad lead because im compensated but the lead never panned out due to false advertisement...

so if leads are not panning out its not our fault.. its starts with the advertiser for false advertisement saying something is "FREE" when its really not....

The most I've ever had is my AM contact me and ask if I needed anything, offered to unlock some offers etc.

Ive never been accepted to CJ but have accounts with neverblue and others that have been inactive for 12 months. Am I missing anything not using CJ?

In CJ, certain publishers will discontinue with you if you haven't gotten any leads for them and probably won't let you back in. CJ might close down your account if these see little activity as well but its easy to get it started up again.

For regular CPA networks, I asked the question about low leads and they say they don't kick anyone out for that reason. So no worries.

You best bet is to send some hits to a offer at least every other week so keep the account active.
CJ seems to be the only cat out there closing accounts. And to get back in is a total bitch! been there done that
