I have forgotten My user name and password for a WP site that I have ...Is there anyway to get into wp admin ?

The e-mail that I used for the lost pass word doesn't exsist anymore. So i can't send to retrive the new PW .

I do have access to the cpanel where the WP is installed on ... Is there anyway on there to get the UN/PW or to reset it some how.

    Thanks
    :)

login to cpanel - go to phpmyadmin
browse through the wp tables - there should be one for users
browse it - and edit the line for the admin user and update the email address to one that works.

I had the same problem, but solved it differently. Yours seems much easier.

I searched You**Tube and found a video that shows you how to put in a new password. You have to put in the hashed version.

I'll try your email trick next time.

Had this same problem with Mu last night, Nothing Worked, I mean Nothing. Finally this morning the emails came in with my new passwords. My VPS was slowing things down thinking my sw was some sort of spam machine.

Made me rethink a couple of things.

Maybe I am little late but here is great solution.
Unpack zip , uploud pass.php file in the root of WP. Open in it in browser. Make changes. Username must be admin, and pas as you wish. I am using this one after new WP installation to setup custom pass... After that rename file.

I think few THANKS WILL BE OK.
