How do I know when my site gets indexed? I have signed up for google analytics and webmasters, but I am still confused.

Also how do you know what your keywords are or should be or where to put them.?

I am really new at all of this, I really just want to make enough to maintain my site, its hobby based, I published it on dec 30, with around 40 pages of real legitimate information and I am adding more to it everyday.

Is there anyway to have someone review your site and would be willing to make suggestions?

Yes, I have done all of that, I would really just like to know how to tell if you have been indexed.

and to really know if i am on the right track, I would like to make some money to keep the site up and maybe eventually turn it into forum site,

If you have a webmaster account submit a sitemap of your site and you will know what happens with all internal pages of your site.
If you find this to be too complicated the search is google
    site:mysite.com
This will show all the parts of your site that are indexed

    Its very simple.

    Just type "site:yoursite.com"

    Don't include the quote

    Hope that helps
