I have been lurking for a while and want to jump in. I want to start with around $250.

My thought was to purchase a pre made site to drop ship just to get a feel for how the site should feel and run.

Is this a good way to start out?

Please any tips for a complete beginner will be very helpful!!

i would advise researching as much as you can on here and learning before you drop money on a website right off the bat.

I’ve been reading a lot for a while but I could use some specifics to read up on if you have any suggestions.

Don't spend anything until you have a lead on what you're doing. Opposite to your title, IM isn't a game but rather a serious business to run.

Try to learn more about what you're getting into, maybe you could design that website yourself (if time is no issue).

Spend some time searching here. I'm sure you'll find some very valuable information.

Good luck!

IM is an ocean, not a pond
you need to be more broad
Any areas of interest that sparkles you?

Why would you pay for a site, when you can create your own?

Are you creative?

The More money you save, the more money you can earn easier

A few months back I tried to create a Shopify store, I was able to get some visitors but no sale. I’m looking to do something similar, but open to taking the best suggested route for a beginner.

I was thinking to buy a site because I tried creating one previously and was not able to get a sale. I assume I had poor advertising/marketing and an unfriendly page. I believe creating the page will be what I have an easier time with so since I don’t have unlimited time, I figured learning about that process of getting the sales will be more productive if I go hand on with a website I already know is capable of converting.

Have you considered a joint venture with a designer which you set up a contract type deal which you pay them a % until they earn more money than they would originally want - to handle your website creations/designs/maintenance? Everyone needs a tech dude. And every tech dude needs a sugar business

Never considered that. I will read into it, thank you.

Creating websites is pretty easy now, especially with WP. You can find a good and clean theme, with drag and drop page builder inside, and save both money and time. Why spend that money on a pre-made website if you could spend them on ads and traffic? Well-designed websites cannot guarantee traffic and sales, and simple websites with great products/niche could convert very well (assuming you have some traffic).

Website is just like business card in your pocket. If you dont share it noone will know it.

It's not about website or how much money you have. You need to understand sales, bh marketing and numbers. Take a look at that Facebook maga hats thread, that should get your basics covered.

If you decide for a jumpstart I dont think getting a website made is a terrible way to go. Unless you suck at content creation too then maybe spend there lol. For dropshipping I recommend @DropshipDave . He is a highly reviewed seller here for dropshipping and you can find his bst here https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/dropshipdaves-complete-dropshipping-packages-prices-from-100-up-to-40-researched-products.1157115/

Either way the most important thing you can do is dive in one way or the other ! Goodluck
