Okay, I'm not entirely sure how to get high quality backlinks yet. I will do the yahoo answers thing once my account gets level 2, but for the mean time, what can I do? And no, I will not SB blast or Xrumer my site with crap backlinks.

Then I would take the manual approach by...

- Going to google.com/alerts
- Create alerts pertaining to your niche (you can make multiple alerts for multiple keywords/key phrases)
- When creating an alert choose "How often: As it happens" "Volume: All results"
- Google will email you each time a site is updated with a post containing your keywords/key phrases.
- Click on the links provided in the email and post a conversation oriented comment on the blog containing your link and keyword (if commenting is enabled)

OR....

-Go to google and type in your keyword
-On the left hand side toolbar select More>Blogs and select "past 24 hours"

This will bring up all the blogs that have posted containing your keyword/key phrases. You can play with the settings and also select "discussions" which will probably bring up forum discussions regarding your niche/topic. You can then register an account and post on the discussion.

Just a couple ideas. Hope this helps.

High quality backlinks means backlinks from relevant web pages and if they are from high PR websites, that would be an added advantage.

For high quality backlinks, you have to do link building manually. Though you can use any software like Keyword Country as an aid for finding good sources for link building.

ScrapeBox can still be used for high quality backlinks. Harvest high Page PR (not domain PR) sites with custom footprints, and go through and manually comment on these. You can get dozens PR5+ .edu backlinks that are related to your niche.

Thanks guys! I never really thought about using these methods, so this really helped me and saved some time!

High quality backlinks means that you must be having links with websites of relevant keywords and high PR ones. Posting on forums relevant to your keywords with high PR is also a great tool.

Don't the links have to be ********, though? I would guess most high PR sites only use NoFollow links, so they wouldn't count, would they?

I feel you should go for commenting on blogs, youtube videos, participate in forums discussion according to your niche... also you can comments on hubpages & squidoo lenses though they would give you nofollow tags but you will get the link juice and it will increase your one way links. As these are very reputable sites.

I hope my suggestion will help you.

If you have mostly (and a lot of) forum links and comment links to your site, how likely is it Google with "punish" you, with lower ranking as a result? Or ban you from Adsense?

What I am getting is that I would be a little worried it does not look "natural", if there are tons of links to a site, but they are all links from blogs and forums.

Or is this assumption wrong?

I suppose it is quite possible that a site could naturally get a lot of links from forums and blogs.
