So, as a trade service contractor, I was making up some domain names for EMD and PMD with terms for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical. A Good number of them were available, so they go in my checkout cart. I go to pay with paypal and an error occurs of already registered.

One was an obsolete trade product name that is no longer made, so I figured it was a home run, even if whomever bought the manufacturer out would try and get it back. So literally six of them showed up as taken at checkout, but not on initial domain search which I completed in 2 minutes or under. A few were vanished and went I went to look them up were now several grand.

WTF? I know GoDaddy is total shitbags, but namecheap too?

I then get an email from namecheap saying a glitch is happening and asking me 500 questions.

Try Namesilo and see if they're available there.

I havent had any issues like that with namecheap, that seems odd. I did have an issue a few days ago where I paid for a domain and it didn't go through, then repaid for it again, same thing. They refunded right away (without me asking) and got me the domain.

Definitely not namecheap's fault. I guess those were expired domains. If that's so, then you ought to have known that you are not the only one checking them out. Good luck with your search.

I was also affected by that glitch too. But it hurt me that much because of the great support, I wrote them and they fixed it immediately. Sorry OP, I think I just was lucky with my ordered Domain and nobody else grab it.
