Getting fake copyright strikes

So I'm basically a Binary Options Affiliate (kinda big and known in the game) but what's happening is that two of other affiliates I know told me that they got copyright strikes on their yt channel 2 times and then the person asked for money or else he would send a strike for the 3rd time.

Not only that, it has happened with many guys who are on my level on youtube.

How's this even happening?

How can I be safe and prevent anything to happen on my channel?

Put this on as many legit social media as possible and tag YouTube team. Reddit/r/youtube, youtube help on Twitter etc. Have it documented so you have a defence in case you get a third strike. We recovered a big channel from complete termination thanks to a drama we caused on Youtube subreddit on Reddit.

You could preemptively reach out to YouTube with all the information you have. Strikes, details, email exchanges etc. They're really fast to look into cases like these. Do it before the 3rd one lands.

The other way is to claim and protect all your original videos using a third party Content ID service.
