So I did an experiment, I made 12 money sites all of them with non unique content, bakclinked them in one pack: all tier 1 articles have 12 links to each money page, so pretty much all 12 money sites have identical bakclinks.

2 of them reached top 3 for two days and got deindexed on a third day,
two others were in top 3 for month before got deindexed in one day.
2 others are still on first page
the rest not in top 20 and never were.

So I am trying to derive any sort of conclusion from this experiment a bit more informative than just "this strategy doesn't work" .
Reasons I can think of are
1. Manual penalty.
2. Bakclinks are causing penalty.
3. content on money pages causing penalty.

reason number one (manual penalty) seams to me cannot be a factor as niches that were targeted are not that big.
reason number two (backlinks) might be an issue ,but than why there is such a difference in time (3 days 30+ days) especially considering that all backlinks come from same pages.
reason number 3 (not unique content) seams more likely is a problem to me. as content on some moneysites are "less non unique" than on others and that can be an explanation of why some sites got deindexed in 3 days and other in a month and other still in top 3.

so I am thinking of making another experiment :make 12 money pages targeting same keywords with unique content , backlink them the same way i did first time and see what results are. but before doing that and waiting one more month for results I would like to see If maybe some experts in blackhat seo would share some ideas regarding this issue?

Duplicate content.
Also you seem to have ranked the sites very quickly, what kind of backlinking did you do? From the sound of it you did some really dirty backlinking, all content has 12 backlinks to each article? Any anchor text variation and site wide links. Hard to know if you got a manual penalty without webmaster tools.

When it comes the experiment, go with high quality content and link naturally/differently from how you did this time.

you must have pretty impressive link profile and huge authority in order to use duplicate content

everything on the net is "duplicate content" in some way... huge OBL from the same sources in a short amount of time seems more likely ... if an online resource with low DA/PA starts spewing links in every direction sooner or later the links coming from that resource won't be taken into consideration anymore ... try indexing your properties, add more content to those web 2.0, and build link to other sites (authority sites) as well ... afterwards try building links to your pages again but don't build 10 links from the same resource in the same day .. that just yells "i'm making money off these links bitches !"

Duplicate content is definitely going to hinder the results. Not to mention, you said "all tier 1 articles have 12 links to each money page" not exactly sure what you mean by this, but did you literally put 12 links inside the articles? That's definitely not a good approach and a sure-shot way to get your sites deindexed. You'll appear like a spam network promoting all those sites side-by-side.

~2k backlinks across ~400 domains majority comes from different engines phpfox, wpcms ,dolphine ,oxwall, drupal and several others I dont know the name of plus handful of "high authority" web2.0s with unique engine . dont do comments/guestbook. tier 1 built in ~5 days . anchor text {product name| product name review|product name scam} majority tier 1 pages has only 12 links to my moneysites.

When it comes the experiment, go with high quality content and link naturally/differently from how you did this time.

well if I ll apply different backlink strategy than it would be hard to determine what is the issue of penalty as current results are already ambiguous.

top 10 of couple "medium competitive" keywords I monitor are filled with sites with about thousands automated blackhat backlinks build in a week or so,keeping an eye on them for two month already ,they still in top 10.

Did experiment about 6 months ago: 5 websites, copypaste content, targeting "low to almost no competion" keywords, built ~200 links across 20 domains as tier 1 and ~500 links as tier 2. all links were built in two days , all of this 5 websites are still on first page .
so dont think that "10 links from the same resource in the same day" is something that going to trigger google's filter.

however scaling up my 6 month old experiment does not give the same positive results. building ~500 links across ~100 domains works for ranking "low competitive " keywords even with non unique content on money page , building 2k links across 400 domains ,targeting "medium competitive" keywords ,with non unique content on money page, gives results described in my firs post.

My hypothesis is that there is ether some robust filter that targeting "money keywords" only, checking for "content quality" and that is why my "low competitive keywords" are still on first page and "more competitive" are slowly disappearing . or just filter that focus on backlins and need more than couple hundreds backlins to determine whether they build naturally or not...if this is the case then why my 12 websites from first post not got hit at the same time as their tier1 is identical.
