hello everybody

i just have a few questions

does google tell you when they will deindex your site?

also , is getting a penalty the same thing as getting deindexed?

can a site get reindexed after getting deindexed?

Yes if you have site verified in search console
Penalty != ban deindexed
Yes just use reconsideration option, but it is sometimes hard to do

what do you mean search console? google webmaster?

this is how it looked in google webmaster

11/24/15

1860 submitted
1012 indexed

and now... 11/26/15

600 submitted
655 indexed

but i have not received any penalty or anything? is this normal?

bump :)

it now shows

11/27/2015

submitted 600
indexed: 436

but 11/26/2015 has changed to

submitted 600
indexed 341

still haven't received any messages or anything

i don't know what to do, should i disavow links? should i do fetch as google?

Wait a week if you just submitted.

Also check for any unknown redirects or conditional hacks using web-sniffer.net. Change the useragent to google to identify if you have any conditional issues. This tool will also give you a clue if any weird firewall issues exist. There used to be a time that GoDaddy used a 302 meta refresh as a DDoS deterrent on their routers that fucked up indexing for a lot of people. Haven't seen it in a long ass time but I'm sure some small time hosts might use it.

thanks for the reply

i just removed some weird redirects, i did fetch as google and manually added sitemaps and pinged google

before i had just /sitemap.xml

now i added

/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500

/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1501&max-results=500

/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500

and now it is at submitted 1354 / indexed 1195

and it's also showing on previous days

11/23/2015

submitted 3,360
indexed 1,772

this is all really weird, is this usually what happens when you get deindexed? or is there some odd complication with my sites sitemap or robots.txt i don't understand :/
