Is Wayback machine safe to copy content from, or will it affect SEO on a blog? I've read that they blocked google from crawling their site, and when I googled, some content I was looking at it never should up any of the wayback snapshots of the content.

I know that duplicate is usually bad to get, and I don't mind rewriting but for the site I'm working on, its better to be a copy of what was taken down and is only up on the wayback machine.

some are doing this... you may search for threads about this topic for more info...

You can if the content is not indexed on google.

Some of the pages I'm looking to get content from have been offline for over 2 years, some even offline for over 4 years, so I don't think google has them indexed.

Since they are not indexed, it's safe to copy the content over to your own domain. That said, it may affect your site's ability to rank well in other search engines if they still have the content indexed. That's the only way I can see it affecting your site's SEO.

It is 100% safe if if was totally deindex in google search engine.
Go for it and reconfirm if the content is still use by another website and index in google, So search some line on google search before putting on ur site
