Do you think this strategy can help rank your keywords? Getting organic looking links to posts on your site from real blogs?

Someone told me this can help rank sites if you have inner linking in your posts.

Well I'm trying more to boost collections and the home page but if authority distributes around the site I don't see why not.

Nothing really lol. Just wondering if it's worth investing in as a strategy. I guess from Google's algorithm's point of view I imagine it could work.
