Getting backlinks with pad submission is outdated? or still it works?

Bad idea? Why exactly is this a bad idea in your opinion?
I have submitted PAD files for all of my software and have only ever seen decent results. Most sites have some sort of moderation policy these days so if you are submitting actual software then the chances are that you will only be getting a link if you actually are offering a software or plugin.

you should not software to get backlinks. You can be banned by google .

Really...... And you can show data to backup that statement?
Anything that automates backlinks leaves itself open to getting devalued. It's better to be creative with backlinks. I'd rather pay $200 for 1 backlink on a busy blog than $200 for backlink automation software
I'm not going to add any virus in the exe file. If that is the case is it ok?

you are supporting my idea from starting of the thread. Can you provide any of your valuable suggestions ad ideas on this this to make more effective and correct way of doing pad submission.

Robosoft is a good one and if I am not mistaken it has 30 day trial

Exactly, these people come here parroting what they have learned on WF, content is king, backlink software is bad, build and they (the links) will come, google is God and if you don't listen to Google you will be punished in ways you can't imagine
These people need to stay of the BH forums, they have no business here what so ever, cus everything they readhere is wrong in their eyes and they spout that shit like they know shit, but the sad part is that they don't.
Now PAD submissions will work, but you have to have a real piece of software, the days that you could spam them with a browser extension of some wallpaper crap are over due to the massive spam they have had in the past
But if you can get your hands on some selfmade software (think fake generators/game trainers) or you have some knowledge of VB you can put something together that looks real and use that to get you link in.

I only ever use PAD submissions for my own quality software as opposed to spamming out PAD files for shitty wallpapers so if it is for this purpose I can't really advise as it is a technique I have never really used.
As for which software to use I can strongly advise Robosoft.
I used all other major tools and they were shit, PADSubmitWorker had a bug which prevented me from posting to a single site (may not happen to you but it was a none starter for me) and GSA Auto Soft Submit has not been updated for about a year which is not acceptable for a tool that relies on having an up to date list of sites to submit to. I tried submitting with GSA and got very few actual subsmissions from it.
Robosoft was the only software I have used this year capable of getting a good amount of submissions (around 15x as many as all other software I tried)
