So how can it be done now-a-days since comment's, blogs, gb, etc... don't work now for G to get backlinks?

coo. seems BH as far as shitty content is on its way out. the methods are still the same just gotta make the sites a lil more WH to have a good run with BH?

its not necessary that it is your own content.. use splogs etc

Google has never been the main source of traffic for a large percentage of black hatters anyways. Yahoo and msn still count a lot of those links. There are a lot of link sources you haven't mentioned also. I still produce crap in volume and as many links as I can. Makes a buck or two.

The standard stuff such as press releases, articles and directory
submissions still work.

I've had a lot of success by giving away Wordpress themes.

That's a pretty great idea! I think I read that people are even selling advertising in their give away templates.

I would have thought that themes with ads are less likely to get installed than a theme with a link or two in the blogroll and "Theme By" link in the footer.

You'd be surprised to know just how many people leave the standard blogroll links in place.

It's much better to have great looking themes created and benefit from the long term value of relevant links than to go for a quick advertising buck.

Still doing blog comments, slower but works for me. Make sure your keyword isn't too competitive though.

If you have a lot of sites you might want to consider participating in a link building cooperative when each member provides the group with the opportunity to post content to an independent blog.

I wonder what that is ( I am a noob)

and can anyone tell me where I can get the great looking themes?
If possible the free ones, but the paid ones are ok as long as its worth it
