Ok, so I've been following the backlinks blackbelt and the Angela's links stuff. Seems very useful, except that Google never indexes shit.

I've seen the RSS feed method for getting the backlinks indexed, but does anyone know of anything else which works well?

I've tried just pinging my profile url with my anchored links and also submitting the profile url to digg but not sure that's going to bear much fruit.

Also, isn't digg nofollow anyway? This would have consequences for many indexing methods right?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Angela's links do get picked by Google, one way to check is to type the username that you use for all the profile links into Google, then you will see most of the public profile pages you created. Note: Since all the sites get indexed at different times, you won't see all the profile pages right away, wait about a month and you should see all of them.

Thanks for the advice guys, and I'm glad to hear that something is working for you. I'll try pingomatic and see how that goes.

A question about digg though: How can it not matter that digg is nofollow? Is it even nofollow?

Sorry for being a noob!

Seriously, don't focus too much whether your backlinks are indexed or not. If they do, you probably wont be able to know all your indexed links in Google's Search engine. I did like 100+ High quality backlinks and i only see 3 backlinks in Yahoo but my domain went from #200+ to the top 10 in a day. This proves that high quality backlinks work and we shouldnt worry about getting those links indexed.

Just keep on building your links. :)

And Digg is do-follow.

I'm not so sure about that - maybe your case was something of a coincidence?

I've put a whole load of quality backlinks up and nothing has happened at all. No ups, no downs, no dancing.

Google alerts has also not picked up any of them. That's got to have an effect right?
