Getting back into CPA after 5 years

Hi,
I quit PPD/CPA around 5 years ago due to a combination of personal reasons and sites getting penalised.

Mainly using just YouTube and some basic SEO - I got up to $300 daily at peak until I lost traffic

I never used any paid traffic before and from what I read it's very common now.
Facebook + YouTube have probably become more difficult now so I'm really unsure how to "get back into it"

Probably will just take it slow and build site(s) with authority but open to any suggestions / or recommended threads to read.

As @Crazyfire said, invest some time in the forum, search for what you need, ask questions...

Btw yes 5 years ago and before that, it was so much easier to get some nasty cash with free traffic/methods!
It's possible to do it today, tested one network like a month ago, got $11 from "100 years old method using Youtube" :D But didn't continue...

It is definitely possible if people just wanna do it.

For now I'm just going over old methods and seeing what works and what doesn't

Does anyone know of any good free plugins for wordpress to:
* collect emails / subscribe to newsletter
* social locker? if these still work
* landing page creator

I have heard good things about Thrive so its something im considering buying
