Slow down - If you're getting action blocks on anything, it means you're doing things too fast.
Account provider?
Proxy provider?
Phone Verification provider?
Show us some setting screenshots for the software you are using.
As a side note, you want the opinion from experts, but you require them to ask you questions because the information you provided in your Initial thread is useless. Not the best way to get help from experts.
Own custom written software, using the ig API

Using residential ISP without proxy
Personal phone number
It's not the web api, which is used when you open instagram on a desktop browser.
I'm using i.instagram.com/api/v1
I wrote the software to be able to tune for likes, follows, unfollows per day and per hour.
What I'm not understanding is how ig is behaving in response to my account as oppose to one from a competitor.
Why would I use a retail bot, when I have full control and overview of my own?
Well either you don't know how to create accounts or how to operate the software you have.
Either way no one here can help you.
You have:
Custom Software
Custom Accounts
Custom Proxies
How should someone help you with a custom problem? It is not like someone else can reproduce the issues you have.
Two people already told you the situation, you can keep being in denial or do the proper tests.
2) I tried Gramto, and it was just unreliable - down times, feedback required messaged in their logs, setting rules that didn't work
After that, I decided to write my own, atleast I have full control and stats to analyze
getting action block after 100-200 follow usually means your proxy (or account creation proxy) is crap
Not to mention that the bot "gramto" is a complete copy off nextpost, which is a public script. You can host it yourself and have full access over everything. You are comparing SaaS with Local running software.
