Getting a backlink from Marketwatch.com (DA 93)

Hi! I'm starting to build some high authority links to my new jewelry store and came across someone on Fiverr selling a guest post on Marketwatch.com for just $50. He showed me a sample here,

I was curious of other people's thoughts here since I believe links from these types of websites are worth hundreds of dollars, but was wondering why this one is so cheap. Is there a catch here?

Meh. Mostly raped and pillaged by now. Add it to diversify your link profile, but that's about it.

Do a bit of research and you'll find it at a much better price.
PS: Try searching on fiverr and seoclerk.

Well, to clarify this, you should search "article submission vs guest posts" in google. It will become clear that these links are not as valuable as they may appear, at least not without optimizing it in a proper way, which requires quite some effort. Its not bad compared to some other types of links, but please first look around and search for better prices. I have seen similar "HQ" links sold for around 8$ or so.

Go to marketplace or create thread in WTB - you'll find bundle of links for lower prices as it's just PR submission link.

Post in wtb I’m sure someone will do it lower for you

Sharing my personal experience, these websites are the one who show very high price in the beginning. They always are willing to negotiate, if approached properly through e-mail. Sharing the inside story, the Marketing Head in my organisation was able to make them agree for $1500 for a thousand Press Releases. They might've negotiated this far because its kind of a bulk order.
What they asked for in return was:
1. An RSS feed URL (from where they'll pick the posts automatically)
2. We'll have to consume those '1000 posts' quota in 1 month itself, unless the remaining no. of posts won't be carried forward to the next month.

I'd appreciate if this information stays within the forum itself. Because while negotiating for the price, they always ask to keep details like this highly confidential.
