I started using this method early in 2011, more than a year ago, and for about 7 weeks it worked perfectly!! I was amazed how google let this pass for so long! I created tenths of accounts, only using the bonus coupons and had no problem whatsoever. One day, all of my accounts were blocked due to billing issues. Google was not able to confirm my billing info, and I have to say that I would find it very strange if google could confirm any of the info...
But my question is, how does google check the info you entered in a given account? Tex message? Phone call? Sends you a letter to the address you gave?
Another question I have, is if this ban applies only to accounts or it applies also to the urls targeted in those adwords accounts. I tried to create new accounts with new IPs, after doing some cookie cleaning and all that, and all the accounts were banned after the ads were reviewed.

I found Google hold those account very very faster and will ask for confirmation, so its still better to get a CC and use it for active account.
