How to get unlimited VPS for 90 days

1. Head over to: https://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/
2. Click on Try It For Free, or Free Trial
3. Enter all sign up info etc
4. For CC info you can use VCC
5. Once done signing up with everything head back to: https://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/
6. Click on "Portal" at the top right and login.
7. Skip through the process of all the explanation windows if any shows up.
8. At the bottom left select "New"
9. Select Compute -> Virtual Machine -> Quick Create
10. Enter DNS name of your choice. (Ex: abuhanifa.cloudapp.net)
11. Put disk image to Windows Server 2008
12. For ram put at "Small" size, the more ram you use will make your trial end in shorter period time.
13. Wait for VPS to create as it will say provisioning, after about 30 minutes go back to that page and click on the name and at the bottom right select "connect".
14. Once downloaded just run the RDP file and login! You will need to disable IESC, to do that watch this: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2519/windows_server_2008_how_to_disable_ie_esc/

I have explained the whole method here , if you have any query post it here . DON'T PM ME.

I'm not sure Microsoft will let people use the VPS to do BH stuff, but it will definitely have some good uses...

How many of you were able to get this ?

Thanks for the info.. I was able to regsiter one VPS. I was wondering if we can run BH tools on the same?

Thanks

GUYS any ideas where to get VCC for this stuff, am stuck and i really need this

You can get blank VCC from the BST section pretty easy. And no they require a VCC.

The thread title is actually misleading as it's not unlimited VPS.

The whole point of the free trials is they want you to carry on after the 90 days.

So yeah, 'free' is Ok for testing, but definitely not for the long term, because the paid hosting is way overpriced.

Who needs to pay $239.40 for 2TB bandwidth, when you can get rock solid VPS's offering more for much less. You could have got a 3TB bandwidth VPS for $37.00 (Black Friday deal). Actual price now $49.00, but still much cheaper. Heck, you could even get a dedi for that much.

How much bandwidth the VPS allow ?
From the site:
"bandwidth / unlimited inbound & 25GB outbound"

Sorry if the thread title is misleading , I would request Mod to edit that and everything is good if we are getting it for free . :)

I don't think you can get a free VCC .

Nice offer, but what about 25 GB outbound traffic limit?

Outbound traffic means - Traffic sent outside of server. If you download a song from server that considered as outbound traffic.
If you upload a song/file to a server it's considered as inbound traffic.
Most of the cloud providers offer free inbound traffic and charge for outbound.
