I actually broke my last keyboard over this issue. It's damn nightmare.
I have been stuck on that problem for a days and only thing that helped me out was to change number....actually change number provider.

There is also option in every iOS/Android phone where incoming calls from other countries are blocked but that didn't solved my issue.
Just go out and buy different provider number. That did a trick for me.

I had the same problem. But i have solved by using an app.

Use any vpn and set to usa. Download "next plus" app on android and use that number on amazon. You will get the call with verification code.
