This is a good price, but I don't like the idea of paying a monthly subscription for this software.

FYI, the Professional Edition is $99 and the Enterprise Edition is $399, and to get this discount you need to share it to three social networks (FB, twitter, google+).. The main difference between the two editions is that you can't send reports to clients with the Professional Edition... Which sucks as that's kind of a big deal if you're running an SEO service... Meh, I dunno.

Link Assistant is notorious for lying 'free' and start asking you additional money at the middle. I myself stay away from them due to this reason. They may give you it for $99 but I'm sure they will make you pay more in future.
I have been in SEO for a quite long time and in my experience they are not a good company to work with. Their products are good though.

Their software are good though it kinds of turns off people when its pro version does not support reporting features. The enterprise edition is still quite expensive even with the discount going on. One thing to take note is that most seo software have a subscription plan in place.
1. updates are free, but without valid Life!Plan software is useless as You cant get backlinks, keywords, etc from SE and another services.
2. Life!Plan is $199 year
3. There is a lot of "one payment" software like MS, TT, SA, etc
4. Now they sell something what will by in the future ... and describe plans for software development for 2012 - its typical "russian" way of selling. Zennoposter do this same - now have promo for version 3 + "version 4" which dont exists
conclusion:
If its one time payment for $99 - it can by mayby a nice deal, but when You get 200 USD yearly its sounds highly overpriced in comparison to other tools.

I'm glad that I read this thread, I was just about to buy it. I didn't realize that there were additional yearly fees - I think I'll pass. There are too many other programs and services that I would like to try and not enough money for them all.

I jumped in and buy the tool at $99, it's worth the money, but then I realized the live plan sure is pricey. Updates on other other search engine?
I only work with google so might as well not buying the live plan, except for the seo spyglass, it works great now that yahoo siteexplorer is dead.

Exactly why they can afford to give discounts.
