Get rid of Signatures

I would say limit the sig option to members with hire post count, account age, rep, or similar.

I have an ad on my sig and I consider it a nice little extra way to advertise or send a message. It's also a good way to get some extra traffic. On top of that it's an incentive not to get banned and have quality posts because the better your posts the more ad exposure. And as mentioned above what if you have an item that's less than the cost of the BST section or just 1 item??? IMHO not really fare to have to pay for such a low value item.

...As for the newbs with sigs STOP COMPLAINING. If your a dumb @ss and buy a newbs coaching or other product and it sucks that's your problem. Don't take the sig. away from respectable and contributing members.

Agree. Madinaz you always have some thought provoking ideas.

For one thing coaching does not work.

If someone tells you what to do step by step and you copy step by step. Once the coaching is over then what? You can do that one task over and over but that is it.

You where hand fed the information so therefore you do not understand the thought process behind the method. So you still will not be able to come up with your own methods. So when that method is no longer usable you will become stuck like chuck.

I to have offered coaching and for free and soon realized that it just does not work. Most of the people where to lazy to actually even UTILIZE the information in which I gave them.

This is why BHW works. Anyone can read a post. A lazy man will just look at it and plan to take action. Those who want money will take action. The lazy people do not waste anyones time. While the ones who take action are future contributors of the forum.

I think the sigs should have limits, but getting rid of them all together?

This is a forum after all and that's kinda part of the 'experience' imo. I'm sure people realize that the sigs are in no way sanctioned by BHW and they should use their own judgment.

We can't moderate every single sig, PM, and post and limiting the sigs to no images would only change the game, not get rid of the problem.

Enforcing solid rules regarding sigs, posting a weeks warning and relying on members to report sigs would be a good idea imo.

I agree it's an unnecessary workload addition to the moderators and/or admins.

I actually agree Pofecker. Looking at it now I see there are some good uses for sigs but I still say coaching is one thing that shouldn't be allowed in a sig. unless the method being posted is mod reviewed and the "coach" can actually prove they are making money with the method. If you go through that much trouble just having a sig would suck so it would really be pointless unless you had a BST. I guess the title of this thread should have been "Ban the posting of coaching programs".

What we really need instead of coaching programs are maybe just a group where people share ideas openly and free implement them when and if they want. Oh, wait we already have that it's the whole purpose of BHW.

pofecker(or any mod), what are the limitations for a sig right now? I have read all the rules and have seen any rules regarding limitations for a sig.

Yes perhaps coaching in itself should be banned as it totally defeats the purpose behind the forum.

Yes coaching if you actually look at it is against the foundation in which BHW was built.

I guess that's it. But some other sigs are a bit out of hand as well. I actually made a sig of my own what do you think?

Only allow jnr. vips to sell stuff via their signatures and they have to have a credible source review or vouch for it.
